Dogs are becoming more and more a part of people's families. As dogs are treated more like children, and kept indoors more often, they will need furniture specifically used by them so that shedding and smelling doesn't become a factor. A great piece of furniture that your dog can sit and lie on, and that you can make yourself, is a dog pillow.
Building Dog Furniture
Step 1
Cut out two square 4 1/2-by-4 1/2-foot pieces of fabric from a blanket.
Step 2
Lay the two squares on top of each other.
Step 3
Pin one side of the squares together. Sew along this edge. Repeat this until you have three sides sewn together.
Step 4
Fill the square sack with cotton pillow filling.
Step 5
Pin the last side shut. Sew the last side.
